CMI Certification: Membership Number 10482
NSF-CMi Certification is the leading provider of independent assurance and certification services to the agriculture, produce and processing industries, certifying over 40,000 clients in Europe alone. Gasparro Produce Ltd has Certification and Assurance through the RTA (Red Tractor Assurance) Fresh Produce Scheme.
Certification to the RTA standard is a fundamental requirement of most leading retailers. It was developed by the horticultural industry in 1997 and is owned by Assured Produce Ltd.
It was designed to assess the ability of growers to meet the requirements of ‘due diligence’, food safety and traceability whilst adopting integrated crop management production methods.
We undergo an annual internal and external audit under the Assured Produce Scheme whereby a vast number of requirements for every type of crop we produce has to be satisfied and conformed to. As part of this Scheme, we have many individual policies in place which cover the areas of:
Plant Protection Product Storage; Fertiliser Storage; Plant Protection; Water and Irrigation; Plant Nutrition and Soil Care; Seeds Plant Propagating Material; Machinery Maintenance and Calibration;
Crop Harvest, Transport, Storage and Handling; On Farm Packing/Grading; Waste Pollution and Management; Training; Social Issues; Health and Safety; Risk Assessments and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points); Environment and Conservation; Traceability Complaints and Use of Logo.
